The soul of India lives in its villages Melapuliyur is a Village located in Perambalur District of Tamil Nadu State, India.

Tamilnadu has many hills like Kollimalai, Pachaimalai, Shevaroy (Servarayan), Kalrayan Hills, Javadhu Hills in Eastern Ghats.The Pachaimalai Hills, (Tamil : பச்சைமலை) which are low mountain range which is located in Trichy and Perambalur districts. Melapuliyur is located in the foothills of Pachaimalai hills in the West of Perambalur district.

Most of the people are doing Agriculture oriented business in this village, like crop cultivation, harvesting, Dairy farming and Agri supported activities. Perambalur district is the largest producer of small onion in Tamilnadu. In Perambalur, Melapuliyur and its sourrounding villages plays a vital role in producing small onion.
